The Institute for Economic and Social Research (IESR) at Jinan University and the Global Labor Organization (GLO) jointly hosted the Fifth IESR-GLO Conference online from August 29 to 30.
The event was attended by over 60 scholars from institutions worldwide, including University of Melbourne, University of Southampton, Tel-Aviv-Yaffo Academic College, Peking University, Zhejiang University, Sun Yat-sen University and Jinan University. Discussions were held in topics related to labor economics, such as migration, household income inequality, social health insurance and aging society.

Moreover, eight speakers presented their latest research, followed by active interaction with the audience.
The high-quality event received very positive feedback from the participants. This year marks the fifth time for IESR to collaborate with GLO for the joint conference that encourages scholars around the world to hold in-depth discussions and contribute to the solution for economic issues.
