On January 11, 2021, the Institute for Economic and Social Research (IESR) was recognized by Jinan University for outstanding achievements in international exchanges and collaborations in 2021.

IESR has always committed to facilitating international exchanges and collaboration despite the difficulties and challenges brought by the pandemic. In 2021, by actively adopting the hybrid mode, IESR has successfully organized 76 academic events, including nine conferences, one summer school, eleven Jinan Lectures and 55 regular seminars, having attracted in total over 6,000 guests and participants worldwide.

IESR has also launched collaborative overseas Master’s programs with five universities that provide students with opportunities to study abroad.
