The 2021 IESR Micro-Econometrics Workshop was hosted online on December 11 – 12, 2021. The workshop has been organized by the Center for Econometrics and Microdata Practice (CEMP) of IESR since 2018. 

Scholars invited to share their latest research in the Workshop were from institutions including Johns Hopkins University, Cornell University, Boston University, University of Toronto, City University of Hong Kong and Jinan University.

Thirteen papers were presented and discussed in the two-day workshop. The event provided an important platform to facilitate academic exchanges and help establish potential research collaboration in the fields of micro-econometrics. The workshop attracted over 50 participants worldwide.

Past events organized by CEMP include the 2019 China Meeting of the Econometric Society that brought nearly 300 scholars from over 100 organizations across the globe to the Institute and the annual Econometrics Camps that invited leading econometricians, statisticians and mathematicians for lectures and seminars.

CEMP of IESR focuses on the development of application-oriented micro-econometric methods and applying state-of-the-art quantitative technologies to applied microeconomic research to promote the integration of microeconomic theory and econometric methodology.
