Summer School on Socioeconomic Inequality (SSSI) 2019, co-organized by HCEO Co-Director Steven Durlauf and IESR Dean Shuaizhang Feng, will be held at Jinan University, Guangzhou from July 1 to July 5, 2019. This year, SSSI 2019 will also include a Best Paper Competition where undergraduate students will be presenting their work before a panel of leading experts and receive constructive feedback. On top of that, students who are interested in pursuing Master’s degree at IESR will have an exceptional opportunity to attend the interview.

HCEO –IESR summer school will provide a state-of-the-art overview on the study of inequality and human flourishing. More than 60 students from all over China will be participating in SSSI 2019 where Lawrence Blume (Cornell), Jimmy Chan (CUHK), Steven Durlauf (UChicago), Chao Fu (UW-Madison), Raji Jayaraman (ESMT Berlin) and James Kung (HKU) will be giving lectures on a wide array of topics within the field that will equip students with the necessary tools to study the issue of inequality.
