Prof. Yaojiang Shi, professor of Shanxi Normal University, was invited by IESR to give a lecture on “Urban-rural Human Capital Gap in China and Economic Development” on 13th September. During the lecture, Prof. Shi first gave a brief description of his viewpoints on economic growth and development in China. He then analyzed urban-rural human capital gap in China and its development challenge. Last, Prof. Shi introduced reasons for the gap and Rural Education Action Program (REAP) in details.
