复旦大学中国经济研究中心和经济学院副教授，沪港发展联合研究所副所长。2009年6月获得新加坡国立大学博士（城市经济学方向）。研究领域包括城市经济学和房地产经济学。研究成果发表于 American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, Journal of Urban Economics,《中国社会科学》、《经济学（季刊）》、Journal of Regional Science 和 China Economic Review等国内外经济学期刊。主持和参加国家自然科学基金项目多项。

摘要：

This paper examines the impact of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) on local neighborhoods within large cities. We develop a theoretical framework that predicts heterogeneity in the effects of SEZs on residential sorting. Using a combination of difference-in-difference (DD) and spatial spillover analysis based on confidential census data at the refined neighborhood level (juweihui) in Shanghai from 1990-2010, we find that high-skill zones increase the share of highly educated residents, whereas low-skill zones do not. Among the major causes of heterogeneity, our estimation shows, are the vastly different types of job opportunities and school amenities offered by SEZs.
