About the speaker:
Yingjie Zhang is currently an Associate Professor in the Marketing Recruitment at Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. In 2026, she received the National Science Foundation for Young Scientists of China (Category A). She has also received the 2025 INFORMS ISS Sandra A. Slaughter Early Career Award and the 2019 INFORMS ISS Nunamaker-Chen Dissertation Award. Dr. Zhang graduated from Tsinghua University in 2013 with dual degrees in Computer Science and Economics. She received her Ph.D. in Information Systems and Management from Carnegie Mellon University in 2018.
Her research interests focus on AI-native social science research, human-AI collaboration, social media, and user behavior. She employs interdisciplinary approaches, including econometric modeling, machine learning algorithms, and field experiments, to investigate the impact of digital technologies on firms and consumers. Her research has been published in leading international academic journals, including Management Science, Marketing Science, MIS Quarterly, and Information Systems Research.
Her current teaching includes Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Research in Business and Economics, and Marketing Management. Dr. Zhang currently serves as an Associate Editor of MIS Quarterly, an Associate Editor and Special Issue Editor for Decision Sciences, a Young Editorial Board Member of Fundamental Research, and a Professional Editor of the Journal of Marketing Science.
