About the speaker:
Professor Songfa Zhong is Chair Professor of Economics and the Pan Sutong Professor of Business at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on behavioral economics, including behavioral economic theory, experimental research, and their applications. His work is highly interdisciplinary and employs a variety of research methods, spanning fields such as artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and genetics.
Professor Zhong has published dozens of academic papers in leading economics journals, including the American Economic Review, Econometrica, Review of Economic Studies, Review of Economics and Statistics, International Economic Review, Journal of Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, Journal of Economic Theory, and the Journal of the European Economic Association. In addition, he has published in several top interdisciplinary journals, such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), Neuron, Management Science, and Psychological Science. He currently serves as an Associate Editor of Management Science and Coordinating Editor of Theory and Decision.
