The Institute for Economic and Social Research at Jinan University is organizing the 7th Forum on Children of Migrants at the main campus (Shipai) of Jinan University in Guangzhou. This forum, focusing on migrant children and left behind children, will include both presentations of research papers and roundtable policy panel discussions. It is the 7th forum the IESR holds since 2017 and the previous forums have created a great platform for researchers and officials to discuss the child development in China. We welcome submissions of papers related to children of migrants, including but not limited to migrant children and left behind children’s education, health, human capital, and their families. Research on disadvantaged children is also welcome.

Please submit a complete paper or an extensive abstract to 

 for consideration by the organizing committee. Priority will be given to full papers. The presentations should be in English, so only submissions in English are acceptable. The deadline for submissions is April 24th, 2023, midnight Beijing time. Decisions will be sent to submitters by April 30th. This event is free.
