The 2023 Jinan-SMU Conference on Urban and Regional Economics will take place on December 28 & 29, 2023 at Jinan University, Guangzhou, China. The conference will be in-person. The conference is organized by Institute for Economic and Social Research (IESR) at Jinan University and the School of Economics at SMU. It aims to gather world-leading experts to share the latest research in urban and regional economics.

We now invite submission of high-quality papers in urban and regional economics, which includes (but is not limited to) the economics of cities, housing, real state, local public good provision, transportation, and the distribution of economic activity in space.

Extended abstract is acceptable, but priority will be given to submission of full papers.
