Great news! This April 2019, IESR Dean Prof. Shuaizhang Feng has been newly appointed as a new Editor of the Journal of Population Economics.
The Journal of Population Economics is an international quarterly research journal that publishes original theoretical and applied research in all areas of population economics. The journal is owned by Springer Nature, and it is published in collaboration with the Centre for Population, Development and Labor Economics (POP at UNU-MERIT, The Netherlands), the Global Labor Organization (GLO) and the European Society for Population Economics (ESPE).
The Journal of Population Economics is a leading journal in the field. It examines such micro-level topics as individual, household or family behavior, including household formation, marriage, divorce, fertility choices, education, labor supply, migration, health, risky behavior and aging. Macro-level investigations may address such issues as economic growth with exogenous or endogenous population evolution, population policy, savings and pensions, social security, housing, and health care.
Editor-in-Chief of the Journal is Klaus F. Zimmermann (Co-Director of POP at UNU-MERIT, President of GLO). Since 2014, the “Kuznets Prize” is awarded annually for the best paper published in this journal. This year, 2019, Kuznets Prize Ceremony took place at ASSA Annual Meeting in Atlanta where, for the 4th year in a row, IESR hosted a reception to recruit international faculty.
